30th ANNIVERSARY CLEBRATIONS
Skerries Town Twinning celebrates its 30th anniversary of the twinning with the Canton of Guichen on 15th Aug. 2024. There will be a weekend of celebrations 15-19 Aug. with 28 of our French friends coming over for it. There will be heritage themes events with a joint heritage photographic exhibition mounted in Skerries Mills, a heritage themed walk around Skerries, a joint Boules match, a tree planting ceremony, celebration of our Celtic Heritage in Skerries Harps Clubhouse and participation of the Dublin Airport Police and Fire Service Band along with a Gala Dinner in Skerries Golf Club. So keep the weekend free to participate in the various events planned. We are very grateful to all our host families which makes the whole celebration and weekend possible.
