30th ANNIVERSARY CLEBRATIONS

Skerries Town Twinning celebrated its 30th anniversary of the twinning with the Canton of Guichen on 15th Aug. 2024.

15-19 Aug. was a weekend of celebrations, with 28 of our French friends coming over for it. There were heritage themes events with a joint heritage photographic exhibition mounted in Skerries Mills, a heritage-themed walk around Skerries, a joint Boules match, a tree planting ceremony, a celebration of our Celtic Heritage in Skerries Harps Clubhouse, and participation of the Dublin Airport Police and Fire Service Band along with a Gala Dinner in Skerries Golf Club. We are very grateful to all our host families who made the whole celebration and weekend possible.
